What is Agritourism? It is loosely defined as travel that combines agricultural or rural settings and products within a tourism experience. It includes providing visitors with a broad spectrum of agriculturally-based experiences ranging from fruit and vegetable stand shopping (direct farm marketing) to winery, orchard, garden and alpaca tours, from farm-based bed and breakfast accommodation, to participation in harvest festivals, farmer's markets and cattle drives.
Some of the Benefits of Agritourism are advantages for farm operators, rural communities, and the tourism industry as a whole. Agritourism advantages for farm operators include: developing new consumer market niches, increasing awareness of local agricultural products, creating greater appreciation of the importance of maintaining agricultural land uses, providing farm family members with on-site employment opportunities, and strengthening the long-term sustainability for farm businesses.
For rural communities and regions, Agritourism can be a vehicle for diversifying and stabilizing rural economies by: creating jobs and increasing community income, providing a broader market base for local businesses; and attracting other businesses and small industries. From a tourism viewpoint, Agritourism is a means of diversifying the mix of tourism products and services available to visitors and uniquely positioning rural regions and communities for tourism markets.

Iles Eoliennes - Shopping et Conseils
Le centre de l’île est la seule, véritable petite ville de l’archipel. Au sud de la forteresse, rue Garibaldi aboutit à Marina Corta, rendez-vous habituel des habitants de Lipari; il s’agit d’une petite péninsule gravelleuse reliée à la terre ferme par un isthme et dominée par la petite église des Anime del Purgatorio, restaurée au cours de 1995.
